BOB NELSON |PRESIDENT/CREATIVE DIRECTOR
A relationship marketing industry veteran, Bob has spent his career designing and shaping some of the world’s leading loyalty programs. As the founder and creative director of Authentic, Bob and his team currently consults with leading brands on customer strategy, retention marketing, employee engagement, branding and creative solutions for clients primarily in the travel, hospitality, sports and healthcare industries.
Before founding Authentic in 2008, Bob was Group Creative Director and Director of Business Development at Carlson Marketing Worldwide, and International Creative Director at The Lacek Group Worldwide where he led and managed the loyalty marketing agency’s international creative teams abroad. Earlier in his career, Bob worked as a creative director for advertising agencies DNC/Publicis in Singapore, and as a copywriter for advertising agencies TBWA/K&L in Japan, and HDM Dechy International in Belgium.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising Journalism from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota, a Mini-Masters in E-Commerce from The University of St. Thomas, and a Professional Certificate in Climate Change and Health from Yale University. He speaks frequently at industry conferences and Universities and lives with his family in Minneapolis.
